Meals on Wheels

The purpose of Meals on Wheels is to provide a hot, nutritious, well-balanced meal to homebound residents in the city of Hamilton. Recipients must be in ill health and/or recuperating from a recent stay in a hospital or nursing home. The meals are prepared by Berkley Retirement Center. Queen of Peace provides volunteer drivers each day for one route during the first week of the month. Delivery takes approximately forty-five minutes to one hour. Usually two people do this together and many have stated how much they enjoy this time together. The drivers finish the route with a positive feeling that they did something "good" and gave service to someone.
